Tour the Cottage About the Boatbuilder's Cottage Photo Album

On the outside, Boatbuilder's Cottage is the recreation of James Maxner's historic boatbuilding shop. With the help of early photographs we were able to build this timberframe structure where the original stood in the 1870s. The interior is cozy and charming, finished with unique details and thoughtful touches. Our guests will find all the modern amenities including TVs, DVD player, phone, wireless internet access, stereo, microwave, laundry

facilities, BBQ, a fully equipped kitchen and a four piece bath (yes, there is also a hair dryer, and iron). For those chilly autumn evenings, curl up in front of a crackling fire with a book or game from the cottage library.

Upstairs in the loft, relax in a sumptuous Queen-size bed or enjoy a view of Lunenburg's famous harbour from your private balcony.

If you love architecture, history and natural beauty, the cottage is ideally situated. Walk the beautiful streets of our seaside town, dine at one of our many fine restaurants, take a harbour tour or visit our many galleries, shops and museums, all without touching those car keys!
